BOUSTEAD CHAIRMAN AND GROUP CEO, WONG FONG FUI RECEIVED 'CEO OF THE YEAR 2008' AWARD

The Board of Directors of Boustead Singapore Limited ("Boustead") is pleased to announce that its Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr Wong Fong Fui has been awarded the "Chief Executive Officer of the Year 2008" in the Mid-Cap Category (market capitalisation of S$300 million to less than S$1 billion) at the Singapore Corporate Awards 2009 held on 23rd April at the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore.

The Board of Directors would like to congratulate Mr Wong on this achievement and thank him for his unwavering commitment, leadership and contribution to Boustead for more than a decade. In FY2008, Mr Wong and the management team led Boustead to its sixth successive year of record revenue and net profit. Boustead looks forward to achieving more milestones and continued success under Mr Wong's leadership.

Mr Wongs' selection as the recipient of this prestigious award was made by a panel of judges. The evaluation criteria included an individiual's competencies in the areas of corporate governance, performance orientation, vision and strategic change, leadership, talent management and development, and corporate social responsibility.

The Best Chief Executive Officer Award is one of the five awards which make up the Singapore Corporate Awards, the others being the Best Managed Board, Best Chief Financial Officer, Best Investor Relations and Best Annual Report.
