It has been suggested that this may be the biggest ever single movement of an object on UK roads. The radiant section shown in the photos is 26.5M long, 14.2M wide and over 18M high, equal to five double decker buses.
Part of the M53 motorway in the North of England was closed to allow the unit to travel from Ellesmere Port to its foundations at Essar’s Stanlow Refinery. A special mention to the Cheshire Police Officers who aided in escorting this significant piece of equipment that will play a crucial role in this one-of-a-kind project.
Huge congratulations to BIH’s Global team who have brought this project from concept and design, through to successful fabrication and delivery over the last 2 years. Another project successfully completed and even more special that it is the first of its kind in the UK and part of the Global Energy Transition to cleaner fuels.
