BIH are pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract for 3 x Waste Heat Recovery Units (WHRUs) by MODEC, a leading specialist for floating oil and gas production systems, such as Floating Production, Storage and Offloading units (FPSOs).

The equipment will be located onboard a converted Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel that MODEC is constructing on behalf of Woodside Energy (as Operator of the Rufisque Offshore, Sangomar Offshore and Sangomar Deep Offshore (RSSD) joint venture) for the Sangomar oilfield located approximately 100km south of Dakar, Senegal. This development is a first for Senegal being the country’s first offshore oil development.
BIH have significant experience of designing and supplying WHRU’s in demanding offshore environments where vessel motion must be considered throughout all phases of the units’ lifetime including transportation and operation. This is the first order that BIH has had with MODEC and we are incredibly proud of the trust placed in us to deliver this unit to an exacting design on-time even during the global pandemic. This project will be added to BIH’s long list of Waste Heat Recovery Unit (WHRU) references in similar applications.
